NO door dings, a (very) few stone chips. Windshield has crack on passenger side, driver side is good. Old style water pump with plastic impeller replaced (just to be on the safe side) with newer metal impeller version. VANOS system often failed on 95 M3's and this one was replaced. Brake rotors only have about 20,000 on them .....................now the good stuff: * Koni double adjustable shocks front, singles in rear * H&R sport springs (lowers car about 1.5") * TC Kline camber plates * Euro induction system with a custom Jim Conforti EPROM (adds about 15 hp at sea level for +/- 255 HP) * Underbody x-brace. * Schroth four point harness (Disconnects and stores under seat when not in use.) ................................also * Car comes with the stock springs so you can raise the ride height * Comes with stock induction system and EPROM (Now *why* you would want to reduce the HP, I don't know, but you could.) * extra set of stock wheels (for snow tires or track tires) * One set of 17x9 Forgeline wheels for track or autocross use. about $2100/set new. * Custom trailer hitch installed. (about $450) * Hawk HP+ brake pads and stock pads. The Hawks tend to squeal but stop like an anchor. Good for track or autocross use. Total cost of all the performance improvements, including the wheels is about $7000 Asking price for the car as-is with the exta sets of wheels is $28,000. Considering that '95 M3's in good condition and relatively low miles are going for 24,500 to 25,500 and higher mileage ones for $20,000-23,000, I think the price is in the right range. Anything is negotiable, of course, and not taking the Forgeline wheels would knock off about $1500, and another $400 off if you don't want the exta stock wheels. I can sell them in a flash. At this point, the wheels are not available as a stand-alone sale. Someone who appreciates these cars should buy this so I don't have to put it in the paper and offer it to the Great Unwashed. Yours is the first I heard in terms of failed VANOS on 95 M3s. Are you sure about this? While there is no easy way, there are a couple of tricks that will make the task less difficult. First, park the car in the sun. Let the window warm up and then try and peel as much of the film back as possible. Pull the film all the way over (180 degree angle) as this is where the film adhesive has the lowest strength. After removing the majority of the film, you will be left with a whole bunch of adhesive on the window. Get a black plastic garbage bag, a teflon no-scratch pad, and a bunch of 409 for the next step. Spray the window with the 409. place the garbage bag against the window and let surface tension hold it to the window. Trim the garbage bag as necessary to allow it to stick to the window without sagging. After the window and the bag get nice and hot, peel back a corner and start scrubbing away the adhesive. The no-scratch teflon pad will not harm your defroster wires unless you apply massive amounts of pressure. Re-soak with 409 and repeat until all the adhesive is gone. Alternately, if this process does not work, drive through a bad neighborhood shouting insults like *your momma drives a Mercedes* to those standing around. Eventually, someone will throw a rock or shoot at you and you then have an insurance claim for a new rear window. Simple and quick. I recommend the 409 and the black trash bag approach myself, but I like to present options and not specify only one solution... Doesn't look too complicated, just tight, but before I dive in I was wondering if anyone had any tips to make the removal/replacement simple? When I needed shocks on my '89 Caravan, they didn't offer them any more so I went with Bilsteins. What a disappointment. The Bilsteins were very soft, only a little better than the 30K mile old OEM shocks. High quality shocks are an excellent addition to a vehicle. You don't want mods that raise the cornering limit because you don't drive it that way, but good shocks improve ride and handling all the time.
