Quite common actualy, 80% of all spot seats that I have seen including my
old 87 325is and my wifes current 325ica have the heated sport seats.

Awe, gee, guess I have to defend myself, I was tired, ebay #$%@% the form up
so I have to re-do all my entries. Should have read... " which adds, engine
now has over 200HP and 200ftlbs of torque."

Good thing I am and engineer, not an English major...

Happy? ;)

from EBAY;

A nice clean well running 325is with Limited Slip Differential, ABS, all
power. Has new alternator, shocks, springs, struts, radiator, hoses, water
pump, ignition coils. Only modifications are the DME Jim Conforti Chip which
adds over 200HP and 200ftlbs of torque.

Let see.... 200 hp for $249 ... $1.25 per Hp gained ?? My money is on
the way.

Not exactly. There are two different frequency bands used for cellular
phones in the US, the 800 Mhz band and the 1900 MHz band. The latter is
caller the Personal Communications Service (PCS) band. (And despite Sprint's
use of "PCS" to describe their wireless service, use of the PCS band
certainly isn't unique to that company's wireless offering.)

Analog service is provided only at the lower 800 MHz frequencies. CDMA and
TDMA digital phone service - these are different and incompatible encoding
systems - may be in either band, depending on the provider. As far as I know
GSM in this country is used only in the 1900 MHz PCS band, with VoiceStream
the main provider.

So the question of antenna matching doesn't correlate analog vs. digital,
except that all analog is 800 MHz. To answer the digital question you'd need
to find out from your provider which frequency band they use.

Gruppe,

Ran my first AutoX today in the Dirty E30. Apparently the judges had one look
at the awesome might of the M10 B18 4cyl (the most powerful 4cyl when it came
out, thank you very much) and stated "you have won your class before you even
ran" Of course, thought I, of course. They feel the power of the EVO II, they
tremble at the 30+ Hp that an M3 steering wheel provides. - Now mind you
that no one else was in my group (A) but that's immaterial.
For the record I was running SLOW, real slow behind the other E30s. The
course was a 40 sec course, and my best time was 44. Although this is
considerably better than the 52ish that I ran the 1st time, I only beat a big
ole Mercedes deisel in X class for the slowest time. My rear felt downright
mushy and loose in turns, so much so that I didn't accelerate as much as I
could have, or take the turns as hard as I thought I could. My question is
this: Knowing all my stock suspension components are quite tired and worn
(aside from the M3 control arm bushes) What should I replace next for the
best bang for buck? A friend says he has both front and rear swaybars from
an "is". Would this be worth putting on, or does it have a negligible effect
compared to new tires? (AVSi's) My next run is in two weeks so I have limited
funds but great aspirations. I also have new sway bar links for the front
that I have yet to install, how much more response can I expect out of these?
I also worry that getting to many after market goodies will put me in a group
where I can't be competitive. And if anyone has an s-14 engine and drivetrain
cluttering up their garage give me a holler and I'll take that pesky thing
off your hands : )

And for those who have yet to Auto X and are considering it, I have one thing
to say "YYYYYYYYYYYYEEEEEEEEEEEEEHHHHAAAAAAAAAAAA!"
Even a slow BMW is great fun at an Auto X! But if you are Irish like me,
remember the sunblock! I am hellarot right now, and it's hurts! Maybe the
beer will take the sting away!
Cheers,

Now that you mention it, the cable on my 88 was
damaged in my previous attempts to adjust it. I will
double nut all four cables.

Most 91 and later BMW's use double nuts on the park
brake cables. It prevents damage to the cables, that
nylock nuts cause during tightening.

Subject: [uuc] <e36> rusted upper shock mount

Tomorrow I'm on my way to Brainerd International Raceway for two days of
fun, so as part of track prep I was going to remove my rebound ajustable
Koni's and firm them up a bit. Much to my dismay the rear shock mounts
are rusted tight to the piston rod! Despite liberal use of WD40 it
won't budge and it is difficult to really put any torque on the mount as
the bushing flexes. I also tried reinstalling them with the piston nut
loose and driving for twenty miles on the roughest roads I could find--I
was hoping the rebound force would be enough to loosen the grip.

Short of destroying the mount does anyone have any ideas on how I might
liberate my shock?

Subject: [uuc] 1995 e36 M3 tuning (Anyone here with a AA turbo'd 1995 M3?)

I am investigating performance improvements for the 1995 e36 M3.

Anyone with any advice to pitch in on tuning a 1995 e36 M3?

Specifically in regards to the engine:

I know the '95 intake is very restrictive. Anyone have any thoughts if it's
better to start with a Euro Intake system (UUC Euro HFM Complete Kit or TMS
E36 M3 Euro Intake System, +28hp, ~$1100) or TMS Performance Cam & Intake
Kit (300 peak hp, ~$2400), or better to save the money for forced induction
(which includes completely redoing the intake) down the road?

It really seems that the AA turbo system (http://www.activeautowerke.com)
is the way to go for forced induction. However, the RMS or ERT
superchargers do appear very impressive, just not quite at the level of the
AA turbo. Anyone with any thoughts or comments?

Anyone here with a AA turbo'd 1995 M3 that can spare some time for general
impressions and a few questions from a soon-to-be fellow owner interested in
following your lead a little ways in the future?

Anyone with a heavily tuned 1995 e36 M3 that would be interested in the same
general impressions and a few questions?

Thanks in advance!

My wife's 1997 2.8 Z3 is for sale. I wanted to post this to the digest
before putting it up for sale to the unwashed masses.

Here are the details:

1) We are the original owners
2) Hell-red over Tan leather, Tan top
3) 5-speed
4) heated seats
5) 33,226 miles as of tonight
6) Redline synthetic lubricants throughout (including engine oil)
7) wind deflector
8) CD changer
9) keyless entry/alarm
10) on board computer
11) traction control

All books and records including every fill of gasoline (I prefer *thorough*
to *anal retentive*, thank you very much). Fluids changed early and often.

all original body panels and paint (although it does have some rock chips)

Performance Mods (optional -- I have all the original stuff)

Koni single adjustable struts/shocks
H&R sport springs
Toyo RA-1 tires (stock Michelins have lots of tread left)

Has never seen snow, salt, earthquakes, tornados, hail, fire, brimstone, or
other evil things (well, there was that one encounter with the motorcycle
cop...).

Believe it or not, we've only been able to get in one autocross with the
car... a pity, really.

Selling to make room for future M3 acquisition.

Priced at $25,500 w/Koni's and H&R's $24,900 in stock configuration (your
choice).

Please email me directly at <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>.
