I just got a dealers license and I need money to build inventory. I am asking a high price, but this car is worth every penny. It is literally a concours car. It has 72,000 miles and is, in my opinion, one of the best M5's around. It has never been on a track, never been outside for very long, always garaged, never been in an accident (even slight) and has ZERO paintwork. It is all original except a Conforti chip and dinan cam gear. There are no other modifications and the original rear self leveling is still working perfectly. Even underneath the car is clean...wheel wells shine as well as suspension equipment. The engine looks brand new. I have every single service record on this car and the original window sticker, the original chip and the original cam gear...all in a neatly packaged file folder. I also have the BBS type wheel removal plastic tool, and the trunk net....and regarding the trunk...it is perfect as well. It has heated seats and a K40 detector above the steering wheel. Toolkit is full and also have the blue BMW towel in there. There is 1 door ding on the entire car, and is barely noticeable (the internet links says no dings...this one just happened and I have no idea how). The interior is incredible...I'm not kidding....there is no better. The steering wheels is mint, the M stripes are perfect, the M stripes on the seats are all perfect (very rare!). No cracks on the dash, no leather cracks, no sun damage. I would like this car to be used as a second car, since it is so good...but, it's also a waste to let it sit like I do. I believe this M5 is investment quality as it sits. I was asking 20k...the first 19k gets it. I know this is above the normal 16-18k price for good M5's...but this M5 isn't just good. If you have been wanting an M5 this is the one...it drives and looks like it is a year old. And why do we call races 'Gran Prix'(or if you are Pontiac, Grand Prix) when we should be calling them 'Big Prize' races. If you go to the German F1 race, they don't call it a Gran Prix, they call it the 'Grosser Preis von Deutschland'. Funny how we adapt foreign terms when we can't come up with a better description in our own language. But the same thing happens on the other side of the pond I guess. Since words like Internet and Modem are new words and are English, the non - English speaking Europeans are forced to use them, rather than use their own terms. Though my understanding is that there are movements to end this practice by inventing new French and German words to prevent the introduction of new English words into the vocabulary. Maybe it's about time we did the same. That equals ~47k km. Whow! I replaced my set of Dunlop SP9000s this summer after 15k km (~9k miles) with the rears literally gone and the fronts at ~3mm. And yes, I did spirited street driving only. Obviously my definition of spirited is a bit different from yours on the other side of the pond :-)). No Sven, Probably no real difference in definition, just the tires. The SP9000 does not last nearly as long as the SP8000, and really does not offer a noticeable amount of greater traction. Just alot more wear......and a little more aggressive look....My idea of spirited driving includes daily jaunts to 130 mph + and several four wheel drifts on the way to work. I really love these little two lane Kentucky roads......no shoulder, just lots of rock walls right on the edges of the road and no edge markings....really exciting! Keith, I haven't driven on the Kumho 712s, but I love my SP8000s. In almost 25K miles they've had quick turn-in, great grip, good directional stability without tramlining (others say they tramline, suspension set-up may matter), good transitional response, and they don't hydroplane (at least not yet). I would buy them again, except I've seen recommendations for Bridgestone RE730s that say they're as good in the dry and better in the wet, so I'm thinking of trying the 730s next. You didn't mention which model BMW you have. If you want to try some well used SP8000s on an E30, come to the monthly Bimmerheads lunch at Chevy's in Alameda at noon on Thursday (let me know first) and I'll let you take them for a spin.
