And I'll just add that there are lots of suppliers providing lighting "upgrades", so what you see on a car is not necessarily what came on the car from the factory. Radio works fine so the power amps and speakers must be okay. Any ideas on where the weak link is between the changer and the amp? Secondly, over the weekend I removed the CD cartridge to retrieve a couple of disks. I put the cartridge back in (went in fine) but when I turned on the ignition, the anti-theft LED was blinking and the radio unit was beeping away at me. Turning off the ignition and restarting cleared the beep & blink. What's she trying to tell me? He's only getting 5K miles on the back of his E36 cabrio. Right John? IIRC, rear camber IS adjustable on the E36. It is definitely NOT adjustable on the E30, at least not as equipped from the factory. Three degrees is too much for a street car. If there is no factory adjustment, or if the factory adjustment is as positive as it can go, then I'd look into aftermarket eccentric bushings to correct the condition. Either that or just have your brother start driving a LOT more aggressively... The only catch is that none of the stock battery holder screw-in halls work for the length of an Optima. I ended up fabricating an extender hold down plate (2x4 piece of metal from Home Depot) to extend the reach of the battery clamp. But 3 Degrees in the Rear is way to much on a street production BMW. On my B Street Prepared E36M3 I run 2 degrees of Neg Camber in the rear. BTW 24K on a set of HP tires is very good wear. I doubt the car had 3 degrees of camber that whole time...... 3 Degrees of Camber in the rear will make the car PUSH big time. One of the first things a SCCA Street Prepared BMW has done is balancing the Camber at both ends. Their usually is about 1 degree of seperation between the front and the rear on the E36M3's. With the front getting the larger dose of Camber. My car is very Neutral with the Camber set at 3 front, 2 rear. Obviously spring rates, shock valving, sway bars, etc....also come into the picture. Someone else posted regarding Toe & Camber. It's been my experience that running large amounts of Camber will wear inside egdes faster.BUT WHAT REALLY Accelerates inside edge tire wear is Toe+Camber. I've found that running Zero Toe in front combined with the 3 degrees of camber is not bad at all. If you dial in some modest Toe the wear is MUCH Faster! So Toe is kind of like a multiplying factor when you run lots of Camber. So if your running aggressive Camber settings, keep the Toe at a bare minimum. I suppose the sum total of all these different lighting styles basically amount to the fact that we all may be basically ready for cataract surgery by the time lighting standards become worldwide. So, while my inquiries may have sounded mundane, I thought it fair to see if anyone could qualitatively state the difference in lighting effectiveness between the ZKM and Bosch for example..aren't there any Euro listers who know more of the beam pattern differences than the manufacturer names? Alas, I'd rather worry about my car's parts' origins than my own!
