If it does than don't worry about cleaning the inside, although you could since you are there. Looks like a dark spot when off and a bright spot in the center of the headlight when on. I believe they were standard in the E34 in 89 and 90, then again in 93 an on. For some reason ($?) BMW went to the standard headlight (which you probably have) in 91 and 92. The upgrade involves putting a 9005 high beam bulb in the low beam light. It only works in the ellipsoid lights because there is a built-in screen which keeps the beam from blinding others. In the standard lights there is no screen. So, unless you change your lights to the ellipsoid ones you are out of luck. BTW, I did the upgrade (after changing to ellipsoids) and it does make a noticeable difference, but nothing to get too excited about (the 9005s are 65 or 70 watts while the 9006s are 55 IIRC). If I were doing it again I would probably spring for the new Sylvania HID aftermarket lowbeam kit (right 1st?). Jon 92 535i "I have a quick question. Steering wheel differences (at least with coupes): '95-'98 had four spoke steering wheel. '98 may have had a smaller (thinner spokes) 4 spoke wheel than earlier cars. '99 had three spoke wheel I can say that my '97 has a smaller four spoke wheel then my '92 325is. I think the airbags kept getting progressivly smaller. '98 MY saw introduction of rear head rests on coupe. Not sure if 4-door had them from beginning of production or not. What this means is that the canister drains out overnight, causing extended oil pressure lights at startup. This cannot be good for the engines so we are contemplating use of the late E28 canister. This canister hangs upside down so it is always full of oil. As there is no check valve, I feel this is a more robust design. The block flange is the same on both E28s and E34s except for a port that has to be plugged but the question is whether there will be clearance for the hanging canister. Can anyone answer this question? It may be obvious with an E28 parked next to an E34 with hoods open.
