In the last three weeks, 3-4 times a week, I will shift into reverse and get absolutely nothing. I can rev the engine (nervous as hell about doing that) and car goes no where. No funny sounds, ATF is clean and magnets showed no obvious metal. I believe that it is shifting poorly in stop and go traffic. When I sold my Miata race tires and wheels a few years ago UPS would not accept the used tires w/o a box. So I went to Mailboxes etc and got a couple of large boxes (12x12x24?) and put two wheels/tires in each one. I put peanuts in the bottom, used cardboard circles, and used long plastic "cable ties" (heavy ones) to tie the pairs of wheels/tires together, and more peanuts around and on top. They made it to the new owner w/o a problem. The boxes were expensive, but I had nothing else to use. I also did not ship at MBE, they over-charge VS taking the boxes to a regular UPS pick up point. I could not find a place to get the heavy straps like TireRack uses either, let me know if you find a source for them cheap. It might come in handy at some future point. If Rondell, they are primarily BMW/Mercedes/Audi/VW cast knock-offs which are supposedly x-rayed for integrity and made in Germany. I just took a quick look at the Rondell website and it appears they meet TUV ISO 9002 standards which would be a plus. I have no first hand experience with Rondell but I believe Wheel Exchange carries many of their wheels. Ronal on the other hand makes some nice wheels as well, but don't get me started on their US distribution which I have had two bad experiences with. UPS will do a one-time pick-up from your porch without you being home as long as you pay up front. just call them up & tell them you want the packages picked up & how big/heavy they are. FedEx likely wants you to set up an account with them, but that's relatively painless.
