I've seen E36 DME's for as little as $50. It's probably worth your time to make some calls to the yards that don't have prices online. Make 'em an offer... Many of the ilistings include part numbers. http://www.programainc.com is a good source for which part numbers interchange. You will need to do no modifications whatsoever to mount a 15" E32/E34 factory wheel on an E28. I had that exact wheel (15" E34 basketweave) on my 535i a couple of months ago. E30 M3's will also usually also be able to use E28, E32 & E34 wheels as well, with some minor issues with tire width & clearance to full-thickness brake pads. > alex > Looking for E28 to restore Ben has E28 M5 which needs restoration ------------------------------ Date: Thu, 09 Oct 2003 23:59:30 -0400 From: Brian Daley <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Subject: Re: [uuc] <E36> Coolant Leak Check the simple things first - is the clamp on the hose at the bottom of the overflow tank tight? The tank itself may also be cracked, but that doesn't seem very likely on a car that's only 4 years old. Brian Daley '94 325ic Dave Meyer wrote: > The car is a 99 E36 328is with 67K miles. As the car now has a 5-speed I'd imagine the 173 will work just fine. If the old ECU was blown due to a short in the harness, etc. (which from what I understand it isn't - you just want to swap to take advantage of the chip for the 173) you risk blowing the replacement from the same cause. On the other hand, swapping in a good ECU is not likely to do any harm to other components. Of course it's not my ECU, so you'll have to decide how much risk you're willing to take.
