That's what we do, and if the user arrives via a referer then that is the default for the "where were you" field. So the app name/id could be a parameter. I seem to remember some Apple apps had a "bug" icon/button that worked like this, though I don't know if they still do this. The idea is to make it easy for people to report problems, but to screen things from the ticket system. And always say "thank you" for their efforts. They took the time to do something intended to be helpful (even if their tone does not communicate it that way).
