The various many Microsoft hosted botnets that are live at this very
moment, and that have been for a long time, do far far worse. Is
anything done to solve or to legislate against the source of that
internet problem?

I agree that the "peer pressure" needs to stay alert to avoid the good
name of Boinc from being discredited.

Hence, also as important, is that there must be clear documentation,
clear guidelines, and safe defaults, that all help to keep any new Boinc
admin and Boinc "safe".

Perhaps the start-up help is lacking at the moment?

Or is Boinc becoming too dumbed down and is now in danger of being too
easy to start up?...

Just a few thoughts. (Sorry, I can't comment on those points being as I
haven't jumped in myself yet.)

And no reflection on whatever it is that Anansi is trying to start. I'm
still very unclear on that! One comment: If the research is "too hard to
explain", then that research is wrong and too fuzzy to contemplate
attempting. Science is supposed to be clear and simple.

Regards,
Martin
