Hi Rom,
Boinc was definately shut down between attempts to launch it. Following Boincs instructions I hard-booted the machine several times to try to resolve this message. As the default for clean installs of Boinc (as far as I can tell) is that the 'Run Manager at Login' flag is checked Boinc Mngr would try to launch immediately after a reboot of the machine, when there could be no other instances of Boinc running, but would still get the msgbox stating that Boinc needed to reboot, and the RebootRequired file in the install directory > Date: Wed, 5 Jan 2011 11:36:52 -0500 > From: [email protected] > To: [email protected]; [email protected] > Subject: Re: [boinc_dev] .Net Framework 4 > > BOINC knows nothing about the .NET framework and shouldn't be bothered > with it one way or the other. > > Are you sure that BOINC Manager was actually shut down between attempts? > A few builds ago some code was added bring an existing instance of > BOINC Manager to the foreground.
