I've noticed on many machines that BOINC will not completely shut down
after running for several days.  The process has to be killed in task
manager (windows).  Seems that it's somehow related to boinctray.exe.
If boinctray.exe is commented out in startup and not allowed to run
the above behavior seldom happens.  Unfortunately boinctray is
re-inserted in startup every time a new BOINC version is installed.
