Sorry Rom, I appreciate the change but I don't like it so much anyway. The snapshot at each commit is almost useless for every pourposes, and it gives high overread for nothing.
What I would like is a snapshot ONLY when a tag is pushed on trunk, and not with a name like commit_id.tar.gz but with a name like boinc_7.0.54.tar.gz, like github does. I'm pretty sure the configuration can handle this, I'll be glad to help if needed thanks Gianfranco >________________________________ > Da: Rom Walton <[email protected]> >A: Oliver Bock <[email protected]>; Gianfranco Costamagna ><[email protected]> >Cc: BOINC Developers Mailing List <[email protected]>; Boinc ><[email protected]> >Inviato: Mercoledì 6 Marzo 2013 21:45 >Oggetto: RE: [boinc_dev] [boinc_alpha] Boinc switch proposal > >> Rom, I recommend you enable that feature: >> http://git-scm.com/docs/gitweb.conf.html > >I've enabled the snapshot feature, if it starts generating too much >of a load on the server I'll disable it again. > >> I reckon BOINC has decided against hosting their repo on GitHub >> for a reason, but I'll let them comment on that part. > >Github has a fuzzy limit of 300MB or so for an account.
