That would be good; the problem is that (last time I checked) I couldn't find widely-available APIs for getting CPU temperature. If anyone knows of such, please let me know. -- David

Might I ask how advanced are we intending to make the BOINC throttling mechanism. Are we going to stop when its able to do sub-second throttling and leave it at that or do we have other plans? I know I would find temperate-based throttling more useful than the current mechanism. That is if CPU temp > x then throttle to keep it under x.
