Well, that's an app, not an API.  I was hoping for a function
double get_cpu_temperature(int core_number)
but it doesn't look there is one on Win

There are a bajillion programs to monitor temperature, but I've used Core Temp
exclusively for years, without problem and without a nasty memory/CPU 
footprint. I'm
not sure how I feel about BOINC monitoring temperatures, or preferences to 
throttle
using temperatures.
