Right. Those tags represent the content. The difference in BW is that
there's a page called main.

Me too. I think it's an unlikely name for a page :-)

But that little change would break the current sites, no good.

That's the problem about the [[main]] tag.

Yes. But there's a difference between [[main]] and the other zone tags
in skins, as I tryed to explain in this thread. The problem I see is
more logical than practical: When the zones action list all zones, I
see among them a **useless** link to the Main page, while **it isn't a
zone page but a normal content page** and has **nothing to do** with
the page whose zones I'm listing! More: **I don't use any page called
Main** in my site... :-)

My solution is to forget the Main page (excluding it in searches) and
hack the zones action to show no link for the [[main]] zone... That
hack could be an elegant solution to this "conceptual" problem,
without breaking the current sites, no matter if the Main page is used
or not in the site. I'll propose it.

I say again, I know this issue is not a practical problem --- but
almost philosophic :-)
