Personally I don't see this as a logical problem at all. If you think
of the web page as a floorplan with different rooms, each room is like
a zone--each with it's own content. The main zone looks exactly like
the others in the skin file and it certainly fills space (a zone) in
the "floorplan". The only difference between the main zone and any
other zone is what goes in that space. Main gets the content of the
page specified in the url. The other zones get their content from
pages relative hierarchically to that page. It is a zone--which is
why it should be in the zones action.

The purpose of the zone action is to present an edit and source link
to every section of a given page. To leave out the main zone would be
to leave out the biggest and most important zone in the page.

Of course we can "think" about zones any way we wish, and BoltWire
generally gives you the freedom to configure things with similar
freedom---as you've demonstrated. If hiding the main (pagecontent)
zone in the zone action helps you, that's great. I should have
suggested that a while back.

Cheers,
Dan
