As far as best practices for moved pages go I believe the upcoming
Joomla! 1.6 will serve as an excellent example. It takes care of re-
direct links and all that, and I would expect them to do a thorough
job considering the URL issues the platform has been experiencing in
light of its massive extension offering.

Wordpress can also do similar things with ease with just a couple
plugins added. Especially check out the sweet AJAX demo for the first
