I think we should have marks in Bongo. They wouldn't really be useful for cherry-picking (you can enqueue tracks immediately as you go), but rather for selecting tracks to act on in a more efficient fashion.
The way I see things, the marking commands would match against the full track info, allowing the user to act on the artist, album or track in one go, e.g.: % m Mozart RET k -> kill all Mozart tracks, he's boring % m Live at RET e -> enqueue all live performances % m Sonic.*1995 RET RET -> play all Sonic Youth tracks from 1995 * Possibly also add % a for artist, % t for tracks, % y for years... (Does anyone know if EMMS has something like that?) -- Romain Francoise <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> | The sea! the sea! the open it's a miracle -- http://orebokech.com/ | sea! The blue, the fresh, the | ever free! --Bryan W. Procter * RET on multiple tracks could play the first and insert-enqueue the others _______________________________________________ bongo-devel mailing list [email protected] http://lists.nongnu.org/mailman/listinfo/bongo-devel
