Hmmm, Barbara. I wish you would re-read my original posting. I was disturbed by the attacks going on and the whole let's kick this person now culture that was appearing. Also, there was an assumption of understanding the other persons circumstances at that given moment. I hate to say it but you should remember that you are posting to a complete and utter stranger. Whilst, we all hope that when we send to the next even first person on a ring that there will be no breakdowns. But there is always a good chance that it will break down somewhere somewhere along the line. The idea of starting an acceptable persons list or an unacceptable persons list is fraught with dangers. You will end up with a situation where one person out of malice will report another as a bad risk. God knows I've probably upset enough people on this list with my mailings to appear as the devil incarnate on someones list.
I think the best advice is to release only books that whilst you might want them back, you won't be upset if they disapear. i may have mentioned but I collect Booker Prize winners, I am slowly building up a collection of first editions and when I get one I release the paperback copy that I had up until then. I would never in a million years consider releasing one of my first editions. Anyway, a book related mail will follow shortly. Best wishes to all. Marko.
