I released another book via the USPS today, sending it to another bookcrosser.
I also
wild release or give books to friends and family when I think it is something
they
would enjoy.

So, I was looking at my "traveling" books today and wondering where they all
were. So I
did a quick tally and found that I have 19 books given mostly to friends and
family
that have not been caught. I didn't even count the ones that I had mailed
recently or
that I had wild released.

Many of these were given to people who thought bookcrossing was cool...and
they've
never caught them. One of my friends was given the three Pullman books one at a
time as
I finished them. She caught the first two, but not the third. When I ask, she
says,
"Oh, yeah, I need to do that." But she doesn't.

Same basic story with some other folks, but they at least haven't caught a
couple and
then stopped. But one has had a book almost as long as I've been in BC!

So the question for the group is, "How can I motivate some of these 19 people
to catch
the books?" Has anybody had any luck with this before?
