I can understand why you don't want to "deface" a book my writing in it or by sticking a label in - especially if you intend to trade or sell the book. But rather than delete the book from bookcrossing, why don't you send the book on it's travels with the sticky note in it, or the BC number written on a slip of paper?
I realise there is a chance that the sticky note may get lost, and hence the book would disappear, but then again... You never know where a book may resurface! Would it really devalue a book that much to have something written in it anyway? I have seen books in Antiquarian bookshops with the price written inside in soft pencil - and they were not cheap books! -- Cayenne-UK's Bookcrossing bookshelf : http://www.cayenne- uk.bookcrossing.com Bookcrossing UK group : http://uk.groups.yahoo.com/group/BookCrossingUK/ ("cayenne_uk_bc") South Hampshire Group : http://groups.google.co.uk/group/BCHANTS Have you told a friend today? http://bookcrossing.com/tellafriend Archives and email list settings: http://groups.yahoo.com/group/BookCrossing Yahoo!
