Sorry if it has been said before as I don't come here often!  The 
other place which I find to be a great source of book donations is 
my local freecycle group.

Go to www.freecycle.org to see if there is one in your area.  I 
picked up 3 carrier bags of children's books today.  You have to be 
quick when an offer comes up - but if you make the occasional offer 
on freecycle you can also post 'wanted' messages up which is what I 
do if I have a big event coming up where I want to get rid of books.
