I have a suggestion about yard/garage sales. If the amount of books available
are considerable, ask how much for the whole box. Nobody wants to lug it back
inside at the end of the day. My infamous yard sale story a couple of years ago
included how I came home with 7 boxes for $10. I counted the books in the first
2 boxes and stopped at 200. I estimate I got around 700 books. So.... if the
box is full of interesting books, ask how much for all.

Goodwill stores are a great source of books. I have found some great
bargains at yard/garage sales.
