I usually don't post here but I couldn't help reading your post.  I agree with 
your action.  Having a Pre-Teen Daughter myself, if she wanted a book that 
badly, my expectation is for her to come to me to request it from you.  Just 
the fact that you are getting requests like this tells me that these pre-teens 
are not being supervised on the net.  It is better to be safe than sorry.

Hi all - 

How do you all feel about sending books out to minors? On two occasions 
now I've gotten book requests from pre-teens. They've been for Judy 
Blume books which while written for that age group are still a bit 
controversial among parents. The first one I denied, and I probably 
will deny this second one too... I just have to wonder if leaving the 
books on a park bench somewhere is any better. I feel like a grouch for 
saying no. I just don't want to have any parents mad at me!
