Flavio Junqueira commented on BOOKKEEPER-562:
---------------------------------------------
Hi Sijie, Two questions for you:
# Do you agree with having a isClosed(ledgerId) call in either BookKeeper or
BookKeeperAdmin instead?
# Do you have time to do it or you prefer that I do it?
Now a question for all: do you have a preference of whether we should have
isClosed in BookKeeper or BookKeeperAdmin? Since we will have listLedgers
(BOOKKEEPER-257) in BookKeeperAdmin, it might be a good idea to have isClosed
there too, but I don't really have a strong preference.

> We need to be able to differentiate between open and closed ledgers, because
> we want to persist ledgers which are closed and wait for ledgers that are
> open to close.
> There doesn't seem to be an easy way to get a list of closed / open ledgers
> or to query bk to ask if a specific ledger is open or closed.
