ahh..arg...I read it as both were on 100%. Bit by the semantics of language. :o Yes, loud, but not if you are using the headphone jack with a downstream volume control. I guess I am tainted as I setup a couple friends with radios, headphone jack into receivers, both set to 100%. I did this because the radio is cheap and has a nice UI for the non technical (screen, knobs, buttons, presets). The sound out of the jack into a basic receiver is not half bad...:). Pretty cheap sb experience...
