The objection is that Joilet is a Microsoft enhancement not a portable standard. For a discussion of the various standards see: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/ISO_9660 I guess the question for me is this -- does iso 9660 level 2 allow 4 digit extensions (eg: .html)? If not, then we can give up trying to support 9660 as we have over 1000 .html files in the repository. If it does though, I think we should try sticking to the 9660 standard for maximum portability. So the test is to try and burn a 9660 cd. Given the list of OS's that support Joilet it currently doesn't appear to be a terribly important to stick totally to the 9660 standard.
