OK, I can see why you would misinterpret my question :-\ How would I go
about having both tabular variable lists and regular definition lists in
one document? I think I know the answer, but I'm not certain so I ask.
And I'm asking because I think it would be detrimental to the user
experience to have different parts of the docs use different formatting
for the same elements.
