I believe this is still a possible site, and that Providence is the only
other city that's tossed their name into the proverbial ring.
Munich is well into the process of organizing sponsors, locations, etc.,
and I believe Paris has already volunteered for YAPC::Europe 2003. By
comparison, neither Boston nor Providence seems as well-organized.
I'm sure I have Kevin Lenzo's email address somewhere, as well as info on
the YAPC planning mailing list. If you asked because you have some free
time and want to help coordinate, I'm sure I could dig back through the
archived email for you.
Starting now to arrange something for next June wouldn't necessarily be
too early, y'know? Especially if there's a decision to be made about
which city can arrange for the best facilities, etc.
