Also, it seems like not much would have changed in Perl's OOP support
since the book first came out -- not enough to justify the work that it
would take to produce a new version of the text, not enough for the book
industry to be able to promote it, and not enough to get most readers to
go buy & read a fresh copy.
If there's to be another edition, it might as well be for Perl6, whenever
that comes out. If that takes a while, and things change with Perl 5.10.0
(or whatever), then a minor update might be in order.
It seems like there's a lot of work involved in updating a reference like
this, which would suggest that no future updates will come out unless the
language itself has more changes that need updated print documentation.
Seeing as _OOPerl_ is kind of a "theory of OO" book, the current contents
should be pretty durable (if not marketable), as these things go.
In the meantime, it seems like Amazon still has it in stock:
