Note that Out of Stock / Special Order, Publisher Out of Stock or Back-Ordered, and lapsed Out of Print are three different states, if a book seller distinquishes properly. There was at least one re-printing, as different websites have different cover pictures, when Manning did their makover ... so there are two different wizards for OOP cover. Powells.com, a real bricks-and-mortar store with large new and used stock that also has major .com presense, accepts backorders for this title, which suggests it may be reprinted when there is enough demand. Normally I'd recommend supportting a real bookstore that was selling on the Net before there was a Web too, but Quantum doesn't appear to list it, even though they have other Manning books, alas. I thought I saw it on a shelf at one of the B-stores or Quantum lately, but maybe I didn't; maybe it was Borders I saw it at? Or did I only see Manning's Data Munging title? If SoftPro has them, they're quite supportive of the local community too. My favorite book searches are www.isbn.nu for new books -- will give new and used quotes as well as ISBN cataloging info; and www.abebooks.com aka abe.com for multi-source used book search.
