Well, I'm on the list so I'm taking the liberty to reply. Yes, I tried to apply to some grants. Sometimes I sent applications for more than one grant, hoping to get one of them. I also received two grant applications: 1. One for XML::RSS cleanup. Here's the final summary: http://news.perlfoundation.org/2007/05/xmlrss_cleanup_grant_completed.html This grant turned out to be very successful. 2. One for writing a parser for MediaWiki syntax - http://use.perl.org/~Shlomi+Fish/journal/34570 . This was much less successful. While I did start to write a parser, and have some tests code and core modules' code, it still covers only a very small subset of the desired functionality. Add to that that my grant manager has neglected to contact me about the grant often, and it has been heavily neglected. ----------------- Hope it helps.
