Jan,
Thanks so much for your help. I was wondering a little bit
about all the steps involved in me sending my license plate
# and email address, Hanzi doing the buying, then mailing me
the certificate for me to print, me getting $5 into his
hands somewhere along the way, etc. so I did call the
Parking office directly. They were extremely helpful and
were happy to provide the department code. It's 6800 for
the Science Center. So I was able to register and buy my
permit and am all set now. Thanks again very much for your
(and Hanzi's) willingness to help. This way is probably a
little easier for everyone all the way around.

Anyone can use this code online to buy the one evening
permit and print it out themselves. I actually picked the
Broadway St Garage as being slightly closer to the Science
Center.

Looking forward to Larry's talk tonight. I only wish I
could go to the one at MIT tomorrow, too. I'd be *very*
interested in a comparison of the audiences and their
reactions in the two locations.

Regards,

Jim
