hi all,
i think the next meeting is next tuesday. i have an idea for at least
some discussion. in search for a way to deal with some cperl (emacs perl
mode) stuff, i came across some perl stuff for emacs called perlnow. i
haven't explored it in depth or played with it but it seems amusing at
least. it seems to be various helper lisp things like creating a new
module with test dirs and such, new scripts with templated boilerplate
code (pod sections, strict, etc.), running scripts with -c and parsing
the output (like emacs does with c compiles, grep and more. i need that
feature!). the main page is here:
http://obsidianrook.com/perlnow/
if there is interest, i can lead an exploration (on the fly as i may not
have time to do it beforehand) and see what jewels we may discover. i do
know i want the perl -c thingy! :)
lemme know what you think. yes, there aren't too many emacs users in
boston.pm but who knows? this could convert a few of you.
thanx,
uri
