However, it's worth pointing out that the docs suck, and do a poor job of distinguishing between what appear to be the two goals of the package: 1) this trivial stuff 2) "More generally, local::lib allows for the bootstrapping and usage of a directory containing Perl modules outside of Perl's @INC.
