Claude,
I believe Don is correct.  I was  told to  remove the card when not in use.  
You don't need to remove it  completely. Just release it from the slot and you 
should get a message that the card has been removed.
I've never experienced  the need to reset IF, accidentally, the card was left 
in.  The main problem, as Don stated, is battery drainage.
