Hi Nicole, I can't address your flash card issue, as it hasn't happened on my unit. I can, however, assure you that you need not worry at all about resetting your BN. There are days when I've reset mine fifteen or twenty times, usually because of something I did that locked it up. So, you can set your mother's mind, as well as your own, at rest, resetting the BN won't hurt it.
