A couple more things I learned when maing my initial wireless connection...
Somewhere in the braillenote manual it talks about devices in the braillenote needing to find other connections for themselves rathr than being found by those connections. This seemed to be the case for both the ambicom and the connections to my PC. Insert the ambicom card into the back slot making sure it is in firmly as it's a tight fit. turn on the braillenote, then press the reset button behind the power switch. You should hear the cute chimes, the version announcement and Main Menu. That's it. The card doesn't announce. When connecting to your router, be sure you've got the router set on wireless or both for its connection as needed in your situation if it is both an ethernet and a wireless router. I missed that change in the router settings from my PC first time round. Then, get the security key from your PC and set up the connection parameters on the braillenote.Check with your provider if you don't know about IP addresses and the like. I was ready to send my ambicom card back, too until I got everything set correctly with my router. .
