Hi, Nicole:
One of the best ways I've found, especially if you are converting Braille to 
Text, especially when writing a letter is to put the letter sign, then a 
capital, and the letter.  You shouldn't have any mistranslation issues that 
way.  The text to Braille translation can be tricky, because a B can equal but, 
if it's not written correctly.  In a text, I make sure my letter is 
capitalized, followed by a period.  It is really interesting.
