It might be the ghost message bug which was in earlier versions of
Keysoft. In those older versions, one might read that they had any number
of messages on the server when in reality that wasn't the case. I think I
had seen this too but I wouldn't worry about it. I doubt you are losing
important data.

received them, I receive one less than it said I had to begin
with. Nothing is left on the server. So again, I don't know if it is
incorrectly reporting the number of new messages that I have, or if it's
dropping one during the process of receiving. When this happens it's
always one less. Earlier today it said I had two, but I received
one. Just a few minutes ago it said there were seventeen new messages and
then I received sixteen. I hope I'm not losing important messages along
the way. I'm not sure how to find out what is going on here since it
doesn't happen every time.
