Rhonda;
I am not trying to down grade anyone. I am trying to say that I have always
had to depend on the Doors or the Government to get my equipment. Most of
it I did not get until I had worked for about 18 years. I have now worked
20 years and thanks to Humanware I can actually do the transplant myself.
Hopefully they will save parts and make new units for lower incomed people
than me. Maybe those in foreign country. Those doing the complaining, we
do not know what they are going to do with the parts. They could make nice
voice notes for needy students, who do not need the more advanced
tecknology. Many others mention the NFB all the time.
I do not claim my message to be downgrading anyone. To each his own.

Terry, what does being a member of the NFB have to do with this
conversation? I'm glad they got you your job, I'm glad they paid for your
BN. You're one of the very lucky people. There are many people out there
who haven't received anything, and I mean anything. Yes, you are blessed.
This is exactly what Kathy is saying. Why not let the people who are
struggling get something. I could get in so much trouble with the
moderator, so I'm going to quit talking. I know, I promised this once
before. I think arrogance has no place. Chewing people out also has no
place.
