Hi Pam, yes you can download the updates to a PC if you want to, although 
you can download the update as often as you need to., The update will be 
burned into the ROM of your unit.

I ordered mine today. I'm getting the electronic versions of the
upgrades. Will I be able to download them to the computer first so
that I'll have backup copies? I saw something about the current
version being burned into flash. I'm wondering if that means that
whenever I do the second level reset, the newest version will
disappear and it will revert back to 6.2? If that happens, needless to
say I'd want a backup copy. Or if your SMA covers a given version, can
you download it from the internet as often as needed?

Well now I'm excited about 7.0, but chill I will. We sure don't want
it released until all the bugs are worked out.
