And here are mine. I've been playing all evening and am getting comfortable with the menus. One of the first things I did was work through Jonathan's tutorial on cd and I had already read some of the getting started guide. I have my date and time set, and my first book in the book reader.
I was able to go into the file manager and get my book for the book reader off of one of my jump drives, although that was quite a chore. When I would connect my lexar jump drive, it would say "please wait". I waited, and waited, and waited, but it never did recognize it. Tried using it with a hub also but no go. There is one computer here in the house that won't recognize it either, so it happens I guess. So I put my book on another .mp3 player/flash drive, and it did recognize it, but when I would try to cycle through the file list to copy a file, it would lock up. Finally though it did read the files and copied the one I wanted. I also copied an .mp3 into it. Sounds good. I was a little disappointed with the sound of the audio recordings. I have it set on the highest quality settings. Not sure I found the 48 db setting though; where is that. Anyway I might not be able to use it for recitals as I had hoped, but will have to try an external microphone and see if I'm happier with the sound I get from that. But I'm well on my way and am having a blast learning it. We'll have to see if I'm on the internet with it within a few days. I have a question regarding the braille display, but will ask that in the next message. Pam
