Unfortunately, some people cannot use laptops because of hand restrictions. I had one, and was forced to use a full-size keyboard. That quickly stopped it being portable. However, the BrailleNote MPower is slowly but surely replacing many of the features of a laptop, which heartens me no end.

I never expected my Braillenote to do everything that a PC does, and I still don't. If I could only afford one computer, and had no access to any other, i. e. because I wasn't employed, etc., and I had diverse needs that required a high level of computing power, and I either had space constraints, or traveled a great deal, I would probably go for a compact laptop PC. Personally, I have a PC at home, and at work, so my expectations for a portable computing device are more than met by the Braillenote as it is.
