Hi all. Too often, people only write about negative experiences. The
positive experiences are not mentioned enough, so I decided to write the
experience I had with pulsedata humanware with regard to upgrading my
voicenote qt. I finally decided it was time to purchase the new motherboard
and software upgrade. Admitedly, I was probably the only user left who still
had an old unit. In the process, I also decided to replace the battery, and
purchase the newer keyboard. After figuring out the costs, I was offered a
brand new voicenote complete with a new waranty at a good discount in
exchange for my old unit. I received the new unit today, and it's working
great. I haven't gotten in to the wireless world yet, since I don't travel
much, but I really like the media player. My experience was very positive. I
do have one concern I would like to mention. Will this board be used for a
while yet? I know when I purchased my original voicenote, the hardware was
upgraded in less then a year afterwords. Granted, I know I'm probably one of
the last users to upgrade, and I know the current hardware has been used for
about 2 years now I think, but the cost of those kind of upgrades is not
something that everyone can afford every year or so. I realize that
technology changes, and this type of hardware is no different then a desktop
pc in that it gets better, however usually it's quite affordable to upgrade
a pc since you can simply upgrade one part at a time. Just thought I would
mention this. Again, a very positive experience for me.
