Many Isp's are in fact going that way. It makes a lot of sence from a
business point of view because it reduces the demands on your network.
If for example you had a e-mail come in to 10 people and the virus got a
hold of 1000 peoples names from the address book and resent them. Well
it doesn't take long until your getting hundreds of thousands blocking
normal network traffic.

Hi  folks,
I may have it wrong.  However, as I understand it, you can have help in
blocking viruses at your ISP site. Of course, I use dial-up and it may
be different.  All I know is that, a few times, I've received the
message that  a virus was found in an incoming E-Mail and it was deleted
at the Host cite.
