I don't think I'm going to be much help on that I'm afraid. For, I really
don't recall having to do anything like that, either to my PK or my router.
Although, I did
have to get by the Windows XP fire wall the first time I used ActiveSync
on another device when service pack two came out.

What ports have to be opened on the router in order to use ActiveSync over a
network? Do they have to be opened for the PC, the BrailleNote, or both?

Works great on the PK. I first had to set up ActiveSync with either serial
or USB; but, once done, I had no problem changing the connection type to
Ethernet and then syncing wirelessly.

Hi,

I'm wondering if anybody has been able to successfully get ActiveSync to
work with a wireless NIC? In the manual, it says you can only use an
Ethernet card, however, I don't see why this could not apply to wireless as
well? To use ActiveSync with wireless, do I just set the connection type to
ethernet?
