Jean; I was reading my first NLS book this weekend. At the start of the book there is a huge list of titles and authors. they are the items in the book. The book was on paragraph mode and I was trying to get to the begining of the book. When I would press space 56 it sounded like it was only going a single line. I could back track a line and then forward a paragraph and get the same. Got any idea why it was doind this. The only thing I can come up with is that it might have been a list and maybe paragraph will not work on a list. I also could not get space 1,2,6 for finding page, line or column to work. I even tried the find command for chapter 1, p 1, pg 1 and page 1. I also tried 35 and ran into page numbers in the contence. I finally quickly went line by line through the contence and I finally found the introduction. When I finally made it to chapter 1, there was only a 1 and the name. I have seen numbers throughout my reading. I guess they are the page numbers, but there is no symbol to show this. I came upon the word his with the h capitalized. Why would the BT just say dot six? If anyone can give me any advice on any of these problems, it would be greatly appreciated. Terry Powers

As far as I can figure this out so far, here's what I think is happening with moving by paragraph with space dots 2-3 or 5-6. . It works fine in any text file. It works fine in any text file converted to braille. It works fine in the Demonstration file included in the General folder by Humanware. I gather this is a braille document created just to play with. Notably, it has one carriage return to separate paragraphs. But I can't move by paragraph in any braille file I create. I've experimented with as many combinations of reading mode and thumb key combos, but no go. It wants two carriage returns in a braille file in order to recognize it as a paragraph. All of the layout options are unchanged. Anyone have any ideas? Could this be a bug or something in 6.2? I would assume one shold be able to move by paragraph in a braille doc you create.
