Hi Sarai, What you say is correct if your M-power is working properly! When I am at the default settings with my unit, the recording sounds fuzzy as if I'm speaking through wax paper. I can't understand anything I'm saying! As Karen put it, it's almost like static. When I set the level to ten, the recording is understandable and is reasonable but don't know whether it is as it should be. Some BN users like myself and Karen have record problems. My wife's unit works great with the default settings.
