Jean;
A data base is like a file of data. Remember in the olden days they would
say, files, records and fields.
Your address book is the file, the imfo on Jean is a record and each piece
of imfo or data is a field.
I am thinking of making a data base of imfo about my family, such as names,
addresses, e-mails, birthdays, phone numbers and I am sure I could think of
more. I might even make one of work related names.
This one about music, in the notes field, the person might want to give the
date the cd came out and maybe some imfo about the music group. He might
want to put his favoret songs. There is a lot you can do, it is just find
the time and the know how.

Just curious. In general terms, how do you guys create new databases?
Is this a programming thing, or is it a kind of text file with specific
formatting? I haven't seen anything in the manual info about creating
or editing databases, but I still have to read a number of chapters.
LOL.
